Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an IS&T Business Systems Application Admin, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base in Arnold, TN. IS&T Business Systems Application Admin will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for Enterprise Business Systems with the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

 

Job Summary

 

The Business Systems Application Administrator is responsible for the end-to-end administration, maintenance, and optimization of our enterprise applications. This role is critical for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our enterprise applications, which provide vital data and insights to decision-makers across the organization. This individual serves as the subject matter expert for enterprise applications, managing their health, configuration, and lifecycle.
            

Job Duties:

 

  • Performs daily administration tasks, including installation, configuration, patching, and regular maintenance of Enterprise Business Systems Applications.
  • Monitors system health and availability, ensuring optimal performance and uptime for business users.
  • Designs, implements, and maintains the security model, including managing users, groups, application roles, and data-level security in alignment with company policies.
  • Support application release cycles by executing software deployments, running configuration scripts, and documenting environment changes.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving all system-level issues, diagnosing problems related to configuration, user access, and performance.
  • Collaborate with developers, data architects, and business analysts to support new projects and enhancements.
  • Maintains comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and security models.
    Implement required system patches, firmware/software updates, and security remediations in compliance with organizational and DoD cybersecurity policies (DISA STIGs).
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • A minimum of four (4) years of technical experience, which must include at least one (1) year of hands-on experience in each of the following areas:
    • Supporting enterprise software, application hosting environments, or server operating systems.
    • Installing, configuring, updating, and troubleshooting multi-tier enterprise software applications and third-party tools.
    • Administering and maintaining operating systems (Linux/Unix and/or Windows Server), including routine maintenance, system service monitoring, process troubleshooting, and command-line management.
    • Providing cybersecurity support, including applying security patches, following hardening guidelines (such as DISA STIGs or CIS benchmarks), and managing SSL/TLS certificates.
  • Comptia Security+ Certification (Candidates who do not currently hold the certification must obtain it within 30 days of hire.)
  • Windows Server 2022/2025 Administration Certification (Candidates who do not currently hold the certification must obtain it within 30 days of hire.)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and maintain authorized user access to the AEDC local area network
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal government contract compliance requirements and the necessity to access secure federal databases and networks on Arnold Air Force Base

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred
  • 6 months of professional work experience utilizing relational database concepts OR completion of at least one accredited college-level course (minimum 3 credit hours) in Database Management Systems or SQL Administration
  • Skilled in oral and written communication
  • Ability to understand and identify process compliance to tailor to stakeholder needs
  • Understanding data driven information for supporting Arnold's future
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount BNH is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time jobs will be adjusted based upon the number of hours agreed to work at location Tennessee: Arnold Air Force, TN. 

 

L06: $68,000 – $90,500 / year at Arnold Air Force Base, TN.
