Overview
Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Benefits Administrator, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, TN. The Benefits Administrator will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for supporting the Health and Welfare benefits function, leveraging their ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with management and employees.

Job Summary
The successful candidate will support the management and administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, disability/leaves of absence, and other related benefits. You will assist with enrollment processes, maintain accurate benefits records, respond to employee inquiries, and ensure compliance with plan specifications, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Job Duties:
- Assist with benefits enrollment, answering questions about benefit options and eligibility as well as helping employees enroll
- Respond to employee inquiries providing support for questions about benefits coverage, claims, and procedures
- Assist in developing benefits communications materials and tools to educate employees on their benefit options.
- Support compliance efforts by helping with preparation of required notices and documentation (e.g., COBRA, ACA) and assisting with audits or data reporting
- Liaise with insurance carriers to verify coverage and resolve issues
- Administer 401(k) plan, including assisting employees with enrollment, contribution changes, loans applications, and distributions.
- Collaborate with 401(k) plan providers and fiduciaries to ensure compliance with ERISA and IRS regulations.
- Coordinate with the recordkeeper of the 401(k) plans to resolve issues as required
- Conduct routine audits and data integrity checks for retirement plan contributions and eligibility.
- Assist with annual nondiscrimination testing and filing requirements (e.g., 5500 reporting).
- Administer leaves of absence including FMLA, disability leaves, parental leave, military leaves, and other statutory or company-specific leave programs
- Coordinate short-term and long-term disability claims, verify eligibility, communicate with employees, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers as appropriate
- Ensure accurate benefits administration during leaves and disability periods, including enrollment, continuation, payment, and termination of benefits
- Serve as primary point of contact for employees regarding leaves and disability benefits; provide guidance, answer questions, and support employees through the leave process
- Maintain detailed and confidential records related to leave requests, medical documentation, approvals, and correspondence
- Facilitate smooth and compliant return-to-work processes, including accommodations and transitional work arrangements as needed
- Work closely with payroll and external vendors/service providers to ensure seamless disability administration and resolution of issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve leave and disability management procedures and work with Benefits Manager and other team members to implement best practices
- It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or other related field and zero to three years of relevant and progressive experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and progressive and relevant experience.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to work within assigned teams with limited supervision, exercise independent judgement, and decision making, take initiative to resolve issues, and support team success across the company
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
- Current U. S. Citizenship required.

- Active NACI clearance
- Knowledge of employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, disability administration, etc.
