Overview
Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Instrumentation, Data and Controls (ID&C) Engineer supporting TOS II, at Arnold Engineering Complex (AEDC) at Arnold AFB, TN. The ID&C Engineer will work as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining the United States Air Force Test Operations efforts at AEDC.
This position is open for internal and external candidates. This position requires occasional scheduled extended hours and/or weekend work to meet critical contractual requirements and occasional unscheduled night or weekend support in emergency situations.
Job Summary
The individual hired for this position will function as an ID&C Group Manager for the Flight Systems Mission Area. The manager in this role is responsible for oversight, management and leadership of an ID&C Group level organization consisting of more than 50 personnel (organized in multiple sub-groups) across a diverse set of Instrumentation, Data, and Controls (ID&C) specialties. Responsibilities also include ensuring TOS contract requirements and deliverables are met in a safe, effective and efficient manner. Extensive and effective coordination with customer, contract, and government organizations is required to be effective in this position. Planning and reporting both within the TOS organization and the DoD client is also required. The successful candidate will frequently interface directly with assigned government managers in the Test Information Systems Section (TSDIB) and in the 716th Test Squadron – Aerodynamic Test in accordance with contract requirements and organizational leadership direction.
