Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager to oversee the UAS program and provide robust relevant and efficient range and spaceport capabilities for our nation.

 

Job Summary

Serves as the Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) and Counter-Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (CSUAS) Program Manager. As such, provide technical expertise, expert guidance and comprehensive advice to installation-level leadership on SUAS and C-SAUS readiness, training, risk management, and integrated defense capabilities. Administer all SUAS and C-SAUS software, databases, and maintain accountability of related equipment, certifications, and training. Manage SUAS and C-SUAS standards and evaluations program and provide readiness determinations for members.

 

Job Duties:

  • Conducts long-term planning, workload management, functional/technical advice and guidance, and continuity of operations for SUAS and C-SUAS program.
  • Performs as the SME for all assigned SUAS and CSUAS platforms, providing expert level knowledge of assigned systems, design, capabilities, and limiting factors as well as all matters involving modernization and programming of SUAS and C-SUAS.
  • Builds and disseminates annual reports summarizing operations reportable to installation leadership, SecDef for Intelligence, and Senior Intelligence Oversight Official; ensures compliance with intelligence oversight directives and national airspace system agreements.
  • Serves as liaison to installation integrated defense planning and integration.
  • Validates mission readiness, ensures quality assurances for training & syllabus development, and administers standardization and evaluation program.  
  • Maintains system compliance with FAA, International Civil Aviation Organization, Air Force and Space Force instructions.
  • Establishes operational continuity, develops program-related operational instructions, guides, and historical documentation.
  • Performs mission planning, debriefs, and synchronizes fiscal and calendar year requirements. Oversees labor and budget utilization, submits requests and justifications through appropriate channels.
  • Manages all program software and equipment logistics, performs on-hand accountability and record keeping of program-related equipment.
  • Responsible for developing operator training support material/courseware, such as operator guides, handouts, charts, graphs, computer-based training modules, training plans, training task lists, etc.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS. in Engineering or Aeronautics or another relevant engineering field from an accredited university program and at a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must currently possess or commit to obtain any requisite security/cybersecurity certifications within 6 months of hiring date.
  • Current U.S. Citizenship is required. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • UAS operator experience
  • Prior military experience, including evaluator and/or aircrew training experience
  • Current TS/SCI clearance
